What are Traditional Lessons?

Traditional Instruction Lessons combine the structure of a published curriculum with additional materials and repertoire building to create a well-rounded understanding of how to read written sheet music and play it on the piano. Each student will work through a Lesson Book and a Theory Book as well as 1-2 additional pieces per year.

Why would traditional piano lessons work for me?

Your student is a young child who has never taken lessons before

Traditional lessons are great for anyone who has little or no musical education. With a focus on note recognition, theory, and technique, traditional lessons are great for anyone who is just starting their musical journey.

Your student wants to learn to read music

Reading music is a great skill and traditional lessons will help your student learn how to identify the kinds of notes, the names of tones, and how to play them effectively on the piano.

You took lessons as a child, but are now an adult and don't remember ANYTHING

If you're one of the many adults who took a few months or years of lessons, but haven't touched a piano in decades and want to refresh your memory, traditional lessons are a great way to re-learn all the musical concepts you may have forgotten along the way.
